Dear Friends –
No other person will ever have the unique blend of talents, strengths, or gifts that you have. Let that sink in.
In my life I did not grow up or spend time with people that understood the science behind mindset. When I finally did hear about it, my first thought was that they were those wacky, self-help people!
If you are in the same boat – not understanding about mindset let me quickly explain. A fixed mindset means that you’ve convinced yourself that what you have or what you are is fixed. That it cannot be changed. If you have ever had thoughts like "I am too old to change", "I am not good enough" or "Some people just have it better, and I am not one of those people" then your mindset is slightly stuck.
The great news? You can retrain your brain.
There are so many different ways – you decide what works for you. Maybe praying. Or surrounding yourself with a community that is encouraging. Getting rid of those people that are toxic. Bless and release them. You are a FRIGGING ROCK STAR.
Change your inner dialog. I am not a morning person. So when I wake up and immediately start thinking something like - I didn’t sleep well last night. My to do list is a like a thousand pages. The kids/pets/spouse/roommate are already making me crazy. Take a step back. Take a deep breath. Tell yourself this day is going to be awesome. I am going to succeed. I am going to feel good about myself. Get dressed. That is a big one, especially now when so many of us work at home because of the pandemic. Even my daughter will get dressed knowing it will help her start her day. Tell yourself. I am WORTHY. I am AMAZING. I am BEAUTIFUL. Do this as many times as you need to until you start to believe it!
It is okay to be in a funk. It is not okay to stay there. Acknowledge those emotions and move on!
