Do you need more energy?!
May. It is even busier than December for those of us that have school age children. I am wiped out and we are only halfway through!

But it gave me an idea for a blog post today, because I know ALL the women out there could use more energy. We tend to push ourselves way too hard!

Here are some ways to increase our energy levels, because surprisingly, there are some simple things we can do!

  • Control your stress. Yea, I know. It has been a HARD year for that. But there are things that can help! Talk to a friend. Try meditation or yoga. Even taking a break and watching your favorite Netflix show. Stress causes all kinds of issues, so working on that is important!
  • Lighten your load. Learn to say no to those things you don’t really have time for. Really look at that to do list and see what is absolutely necessary. And remember, you can always ask for help. I know I am bad about that!

  • Exercise. Doing even a little exercise will help you sleep better, thus giving you more energy the next day. And exercising can lead to higher brain dopamine levels, which helps elevate mood. And our kids and spouses appreciate that!

  • Eat for energy. Foods such as whole grains, high-fiber vegetables, nuts, and healthy oils such as olive oil. That brownie is yummy, but will only give you a quick sugar high. Not even long enough to fold that huge pile of laundry!!

  • Caffeine. A cup of coffee or other caffeine CAN help with alertness. But be careful, drinking it too late in the day, especially if you have problems sleeping.

  • Drink water!  One of the first signs that your body needs water is fatigue. Get the water in!

  • And last but not least – if you are an oiler, Ningxia Red. So much goodness. Not a juice, but a puree of the wolfberry + oils. You get all the nutrients that makes it easier for our body to use. And all the antioxidants to get rid of the yucky built up stuff.

Bottom line. If we put enough good things in our body to make it where our body can get rid of the bad things that are making us tired, then we can get that energy back. Even if we are tired mama’s. Even if we are older.
I hope this helps!  Happy May!

Meet Kay Page

Hi! I’m Kay Page. I’m a mom to two kids and I live in Austin, Texas.

In 2014 I was looking for something to support my son Grayson with his respiratory system. It was such a helpless feeling to watch him at night as he struggled to rest. I felt so scared and frustrated.

My friend, Gretchen, shared with me the success she was having with her son using essential oils. We tried it with Grayson and my husband and I were really impressed with the results. It was such a relief to see him breathing easier.
I cannot imagine our lives without Young Living now. They have been life changing!

Gretchen had added me to a Facebook group where they discussed how by sharing oils with friends I could earn some extra money. It was not a lot at first, but nothing to sneeze at! I replaced our old leather couch with my first big check!
With this business, I am contributing to our family’s financial goals AND getting to stay home with my kids. I am working towards retirement for my husband and I am helping others achieve their goals. I LOVE IT!
